Google Analytics is optional and requires your permission. With permission, we use it to understand page visits, school selection, searches with result counts, and use of school results, so we can improve the website.

What Analytics receives

Measurements may include a browser identifier, session and device information, approximate location, cleaned page addresses, public school names and URNs, and feature interactions. We do not send search text, visitor names, email addresses, full postcodes or form contents as Analytics parameters. Public school names identify institutions, not the visitor.

Google and retention

Google provides Analytics and processes this information under its applicable service and data processing terms. Google may process Analytics data outside the UK. Our Analytics property is configured with a 14-month retention setting for user-level and event-level data. This setting does not limit the retention of standard aggregated reports. Our website's Analytics configuration disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation.

Your choice

Analytics starts only after you accept it. Rejecting or withdrawing does not affect access to school results. Use Privacy settings to change your choice. Contact the operator about privacy rights and requests concerning information already collected.

Hosting and operational logs

We run this website on infrastructure managed by the operator. Cloudflare proxies website requests for delivery and security and may process connection and request information, including IP addresses. Operational logs used to run and secure the website are separate from optional Analytics and do not depend on Analytics consent.

Application and web-proxy container logs rotate by size, retaining up to three files of 10 MB per container. Their retention period varies with log volume; older rotated files are replaced when this limit is reached. Infrastructure providers may process separate security records under their service terms.
